Teach English in the heart of latin america

TEFL Training, Placement Assistance, and Visa Support — A Guided Pathway into Teaching in Colombia

Colombia—the world’s second most biodiverse country.

From rainforests and deserts to snow-capped mountains and endless savannahs, it’s a place of incredible landscapes—and real opportunities.

In as little as 4 weeks, you can complete your TEFL training and become ready to begin applying for supported teaching opportunities in Colombia.

This isn’t wishful thinking—it’s a clear, proven path.

Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) makes it possible—but knowing how to turn that into a real job and a life here is what matters.

With an internationally recognised TEFL certificate, plus the right guidance, you can unlock teaching opportunities across Colombia—and actually make the move with confidence.

Why now?

Because Colombia is in a really interesting place right now.

There’s a growing demand for English across schools, universities, and businesses, driven by a national push for bilingual education and international growth. In simple terms—there are more opportunities for English teachers here than there have been in years.

The difference is knowing how to actually access them.

That’s where this programme comes in.

With an accredited 120-hour TEFL course, plus personalised job placement and visa support, you’re not just getting qualified—you’re getting set up properly to live and work in Colombia with confidence.

A few words from our head tefl coach

    Our Very Own Colombia Expert

Hi, I’m Tom – Head TEFL Coach at Precision TEFL.

I help people fund their adventure in Colombia by teaching English. I fell in love with this country the moment I arrived nearly eight years ago — and now I’m passionate about helping others experience the same freedom, culture, and adventure that transformed my life.

I don’t usually call myself an “expert,” but here’s why I know I can guide you:

    • Fluent Spanish speaker – I’ve built my life here and understand the culture from the inside out.
    • Extensive travel experience – I’ve explored 22 of Colombia’s 32 departamentos, from snow-capped mountains and deserts to tropical rainforests, vast savannahs, and stunning beaches on both the Caribbean and Pacific coasts.
    • Diverse teaching background – I’ve taught in public and private schools, language institutes, and given private classes to everyone from four-year-olds to senior executives at Colombia’s top drinks company.
    • Entrepreneurial experience – I run my own tutoring business and a thriving English conversation club in my hometown, Ibagué.
    • Local know-how – I’ve personally navigated many of Colombia’s practical and administrative processes, and I help participants understand what to expect.

I also designed Precision TEFL’s accredited 120-hour TEFL course, built to take you from complete beginner to confident teacher.

Combined, these experiences mean I know exactly how to help you get certified, prepare for teaching opportunities, and begin your Colombian teaching journey with more confidence.
